Summary:
The Event Manager for the UNC Health Foundation will be a strategic team member and lead and execute events that support the philanthropic priorities of UNC Health and the UNC School of Medicine. The Foundation hosts many types of events for our donors and prospects including cultivation, stewardship, discovery, fundraising, alumni engagement, and other special gatherings.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead planning and execution of strategic events for UNC Health and the UNC School of Medicine, including but not limited to alumni engagement, regional events, and major and transformational donor engagements. Collaborate with internal partners to deliver high quality, mission aligned donor experiences.
2. Manage Foundation special events to support development of the major gift to prospect pipeline. Oversee all aspects of event logistics, evaluation, and post event reporting.
3. Ensure donor preferences are honored, and event data is accurately documented and entered into the CRM. Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding PHI (Personal Health Information) thus protecting the lawful privacy of colleagues and donors.
4. Stay updated on latest fundraising and event trends that will strengthen events program and our donor experience.

Other information: Education Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ? None required. Professional Experience Requirements: ? With a Bachelor's degree, requires three (3) years of comprehensive event planning, fundraising/volunteer engagement experience. ? With an Associate's degree, requires seven (7) years of comprehensive event planning, fundraising/volunteer engagement experience. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ? Strong verbal and written communication skills. ? Strong computer skills. ? Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgement. ? Attention to detail and accuracy. ? Creativity and problem-solving skills. ? Excellent contract negotiation skills. ? Knowledge of catering, banquet and event planning best practices. ?
