The Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) is Stanford University's thought leader for understanding the economic challenges, opportunities, and policies affecting people in the United States and around the world. SIEPR's mission is to support research that informs economic policymaking while engaging future leaders and scholars. SIEPR supports over 100 faculty members representing all seven schools at Stanford. Our faculty study a vast array of economic policy-relevant areas and collaborate with other established and up-and-coming researchers from within and outside Stanford.
SIEPR's Events team delivers a suite of events for faculty, donors, policymakers, business leaders and students in support of SIEPR's mission. Throughout the academic year, the Event Planner is an integral part of executing monthly events and the annual SIEPR Economic Summit, which draws an in-person attendance of about 400 donors, policymakers, academics and business leaders. The team works closely with other SIEPR units, primarily Communications and Development.

SIEPR also produces smaller, more intimate donor-only events online and in-person as well as a host of academic events in partnerships with individual faculty members and other academic organizations and institutions. SIEPR's hallmark event, the annual SIEPR Economic Summit, is traditionally held in early March. The Summit is a daylong event showcasing keynote speakers such as US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, and panel discussions featuring global business leaders, academics and journalists.
