Facility Overview
The Laredo Country Club is the premier member owned private country club in South Texas. Our dining outlets include the Magnolia Grille with fine dining, Main Bar with upscale modern cuisine, 19th Hole with casual dining, Pool & Cabana with al fresco dining and Curbside. Our banquet spaces feature a 7,000 sq. ft. Ballroom for up to 450 guests, an attached 1,000 sq. ft. Plantation Room for up to 80 guests, the 1,050 sq. ft. Rosewood for up to 70 guests, the 1,000 sq. ft. Party Room poolside for up to 90 guests, and the outdoor patio & verandas. Our golf facilities feature a newly renovated 18-hole championship golf course that averages 20,000 rounds, a fully stocked Golf Pro Shop and club repair shop, an 1,800 sq. ft. practice putting green, a newly constructed short game performance area, a two-bay teaching facility outfitted with state-of-the-art fitting systems, and a full shot driving range featuring an additional two chipping areas. Position Description
Plan, direct, coordinate, promote, execute and manage the club’s social activities designed to enhance the overall enjoyment of the membership and to retain membership in the club. Responsible for all day-to-day catering services. Develop contracts for and oversee all administrative and operational aspects of preparing and selling events and catered parties. Work with banquet and other departments to assure that the members’ and guests’ expectations are exceeded and the highest quality food and service are delivered
Essential Responsibilities
The desired Catering Director for The Laredo Country Club will be responsible for many typical duties found at a high-end, private golf club. Responsible for being attentive to all members and guest needs while maintaining a positive image.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- At least five years of experience in the hospitality business, preferably in a private club or luxury hotel setting and 3-5 years in a management role.
- Experience in or working with the Executive Chef / Culinary Team.
- Three years of experience in directing banquet operations.
- Extensive knowledge of the private club industry’s food and beverage operations and costing.
- Ability to manage the club’s social activities.
- Extensive knowledge of food, wines and alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to promote the club’s dining facilities for private banquets, business and social meetings and other member-related activities.
- Ability to communicate with outside vendors and suppliers.
- Assist members with menu, food and beverage coordination, table arrangements, decoration options.
- Ability to arrange all details of all catering events to include room set-ups, staging, lighting, audiovisual, traffic flow, menu’s décor, entertainment, room/date blocks, and approved method of payment.
- Ability to manage employee relations encompassing staff recruitment and performance evaluations and payroll.
- Understand and effectively cost and price events.
- Ability to develop, train and motivate the catering team that is responsible for developing and maintaining member relations.
