Sr Academic Adviser, Clermont College Advising

The Advising Center at UC Clermont College (UCC) is searching for a Sr. Academic Advisor to provide intrusive advising, outreach, and programming for the purpose of empowering regional campus (UC Clermont) students. The Sr. Academic Advisor must utilize a student-centered approach to enhance students’ likelihood of retention and success in the College and at the university. The position will partner with key offices at the regional campuses and Clifton, including college representatives and other crucial staff on both campuses. The position reports to the Director of Advising at Clermont College.
Essential Function Under general supervision from the Director of Advising at UCC, support current and prospective students in meeting educational goals.
Characteristic Duties
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree and five (5) years’ experience; -OR- seven (7) years’ experience advising students at the high school and/or college level or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have excellent management, communication and professional skills; strong team orientation; good analytical and organizational skills; computer literacy using a variety of software products including Microsoft Professional Office, degree audit and electronic student information systems or the ability to learn. Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. Some evening and weekend hours required due to services required for student advising needs.
