SPACE AND COMMUNITY ASSISTANT , MIT Innovation Initiative (MITii) , to perform administrative and operational activities related to the day-to-day operations of MITii's new I&E Hub . Will help create and implement plans and procedures to run day-to-day operations and logistics for the new building. Responsibilities include assisting with creating and implementing plans to manage new office space; researching and evaluating space management systems, group calendars, etc.; representing MITii and cultivating relationships with other tenants in the new office space; coordinating operations and logistics for the I&E Hub portion of building, including managing front desk, systems for event and building management, guest and visitor registration, tour management, etc.; using systems to manage operations and logistics for building and evens; maintaining upkeep of specialized spaces including student coworking administration, day-to-day floor management, conference rooms, events and event spaces, floor three maker space, and kitchens; ensuring common spaces are kept presentable, stocked, and maintained; maintaining detailed event furniture and equipment inventories and a shared building-wide event calendar; planning, organizing, and executing events, including assisting with setup and breakdown, coordinate with catering and bartenders, managing timing, and maintaining and organizing common and event spaces; serving as central point of contact for matters related to furniture, conference rooms, AV equipment, etc.; and other duties as needed.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent and at least three years' administrative, office, or related experience. PREFERRED : ability to create robust systems, take ownership of and follow through on tasks, and work independently and as part of a team; detail orientation; strong time-management organizational, and written and verbal communication skills; and discretion and good judgement with confidential/sensitive information.
