Job Description:

The Evening Event Manager has primary responsibility for overall coordination of student activities, events, and departmental facilities during the evenings and weekends. The manager provides on-site support and advice to student event organizers, as well as pre-event advising and training. Working collaboratively with student managers, the incumbent provides management and supervision to the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center and T.F. Green Hall for Student Performing Arts, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of these facilities. Works with student organizations and student management to develop and encourage programming and events within the Stephen Robert '62 Campus Center.
This is a part-time hourly position (5 hours per week during the academic year).

Work Schedule:

• Start and end times vary but generally are Thursdays 8:00 pm -2:30 am, Fridays 8:00 pm-2:30 am and/or Saturdays 8:00 pm-2:30 am when school is in session (no hours available during holiday breaks).
• Rare daytime meetings or trainings.

Job Qualifications:

• Event planning and management experience, including demonstrated experience with events with alcohol, preferably with some experience in a college environment.
• Ability to work Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday evenings throughout the academic year (late August through late May with summers and winter break off) As well as some Sundays
• Must be available April (usually 3rd or 4th weekend) to work Spring Weekend and in May (week prior to graduation) Senior Week
• Excellent communication, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to relate to students and understand the purpose and value of student-run campus events and programs.
• Brown experience helpful but not required.
• The incumbent must possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community.
