Community Development Manager

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is seeking a Community Development Manager to assist in the development and enrichment of the communities within the various market segments of the industry. The Community Development Manager serves as a liaison to several SGIA committees and helps implement strategic initiatives within the industry as directed by the committee and association leadership.
This position requires a high-level of collaboration, relationship building and ingenuity. The ideal candidate brings energy to inspire volunteers to think “outside the box”, tact, and the ability to focus large groups.
While event management experience is preferred since committee= initiatives involve conferences, the primary focus is working with the volunteers and facilitating efforts to drive content and programs that meet industry needs. Community events involve “creating an experience” by providing a healthy mix of fresh and interesting education tracks and unique networking opportunities. The ideal Community Development Manager candidate is dynamic and flexible with strong project management skills. Willingness to work as a team and multi-task across committees is a must.
