Incumbent is expected to be a creative yet highly detailed administrative expert who can effectively juggle competing priorities, many of which are deadline-driven. In addition to the logistics, this individual will regularly and proactively identify Salk sponsored events that allow opportunities for the Salk community to gather, celebrate, and build our community. Identify all opportunities for showcasing Community & Culture initiatives which includes collaborating with the Postdoc Office (PDO), Office of Equity & Inclusion (OEI), the Office of the Chief Science Officer (CSO), External Events and Human Resources (HR). This person is responsible for the development of timely and creative communications strategically designed to drive engagement. This includes but is not limited to the Intranet, Salk this Week entries, all-campus emails, videos, etc. Incumbent will coordinate with the Communications Department to ensure these conform to Institute standards and are timely released. Provides extensive communication for the planning, advertising and execution of programming to our population in alignment with approved recommendations. Contributes ideas and input with regard to communication avenues that are not currently in place or regularly in place which may enhance internal communication. In addition to the Internal engagement focus, the incumbent will also be responsible for engagement of candidates that are in the Recruitment process. This includes timely and accurate responses, ensuring external candidates are informed and moving through the recruitment process as quickly as possible. Communicates with hiring managers, recruitment staff, HR Partners and HR Coordinators with status updates, concerns, etc. Required:
