About the Opportunity: The Events Coordinator will work with the Events Manager and coordinate all aspects of Khoury College events. This will include but is not limited to: meetings, workshops, professional conferences, student events, Hackathons, lobby days, colloquium speakers, year-end celebrations and graduate commencement. Responsibilities: Coordinating events includes a variety of tasks such as space reservations, menu selections, publicizing events, coordinating all necessary AV needs, interface with CSC staff, Risk Management, University Counsel, and various vendors. The Events Coordinator is responsible for generating meeting materials, signage and invitations as needed. The Events Coordinator will determine staffing needs for events and will manage a team of temporary staff and students. This individual must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with many distractions. The Events Coordinator will manage and see an event through from beginning to end. This will include prior planning and debrief following the event. This position will report to the Events Manager. In addition, the Events Coordinator will assist the Marketing Team on various other marketing related projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3-4 years' experience planning events, preferably in higher education. Individual must have strong organization skills and experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook, InDesign and Photoshop. Person must have advanced Excel skills. Person must be able to multi-task, stay calm in a somewhat hectic environment and be team oriented. Sense of humor a plus. The Events Coordinator must be able to communicate professionally and effectively on behalf of the college. The individual should be open to professional training and learning.
