The University of Mississippi Division of Outreach seeks an Assistant Director of Events and Services. This is a management role which will supervise staff and manage the daily operations of the Outreach facilities, events, and transportation services. Manages the daily operations of facilities, services, transportation, and event management.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
Develops office procedures to efficiently manage departmental operations.
Provides guidance and supervision to staff.
Oversees transportation services.
Plans, develops, and oversees fiscal affairs for events, services, and transportation.
Prepares financial reporting and analysis on facilities, services, transportation, and events.
Participates in assessment of facilities and services to assist in the development of departmental objectives and goals.
Prepares and monitors area budgets for events, facilities, and transportation accounts.
Maintains relationships with internal and external constituents to ensure continued support.
Directs the planning and coordination of events for internal and external use.
Manages scheduling of event staff.
Monitors conferences and workshops and develops alternate plans for implementation in emergency situations.
Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Three (3) years of experience related to the above described duties.
