A Wedding and function venue located South of Boston, is looking for an experienced and talented chef to add to our experienced staff, working in a top of the line kitchen. Candidate should have a strong background in banquets. Culinary degree required. Must obtain and maintain SERVSAFE Certification.
Position calls for: Creativity, Preparation & execution of all aspects of the function, Creative ideas for food presentation, An eye for detail, Training & supervising BOH team (production cooks and dishwashers) in accordance with the policies & procedures, Developing and implementing creative and delectable menu items and impressive and innovative methods of food presentation, Maintaining that the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized, Checking finished products before service, Maintaining clear, open and teamwork orientated communication with management, BOH staff, Event Manager and other event staff to help ensure event success, Basic knowledge of Cheftec, or any other similar culinary data base system.Candidate should be Dependable, Professional, Organized, Show a desire to build a strong relationship with the company and employees ,Able to enhance the overall knowledge and team spirit of the kitchen staff.
