Position: Event Sales Manager Status: Full-Time Salaried Employee Reports to General Manager ________________________________
Novelty Hill-Januik Winery is an iconic winery located in Woodinville wine country, twenty minutes outside of Seattle, Washington. We are a well-established venue with an exceptional culinary program, award-winning wines and state-of-the-art meeting and event facilities.
This role is more than just "selling"; it's about building and managing client partnerships and moving them forward. The Event Sales Manager must not only foster superb external client relationships, but be flexible and able to build trust and confidence with internal colleagues. It is also expected that the Event Sales Manager will play an essential collaborative part insuring that Novelty Hill-Januik Winery continues to be forward-thinking and a guest experience-driven organization.
Job Requirements: • Respond to and manage in-bound corporate event sales inquiries • Identify and secure new business throughout-bound sales strategies such as client visits, attending networking events, email promotions, etc. • Secure repeat & referral business through relationship management, follow-up & repeat client/referral structure • Collaborate with Senior Event Sales Manager on menu development, pricing and strategy • Coordinate all aspects of the room set-up, food and beverage service, timeline and financial requirements for corporate event clients • Prepare and distribute client contracts, event orders, invoices and all necessary paperwork required by the event booking process • Responsible for setting and achieving monthly and yearly financial goals for social event department • Contribute to monthly and yearly forecasting/pace financial reports • Professional appearance and work attire required • Follow up on all communications within one business day • Knowledge of Reserve Catering Software would be preferred
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year university preferred • Minimum 3 years of direct event experience with a proven track record of sales success in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment • Hospitality and/or food and beverage industry experience preferred • Seasoned professional who is ready to contribute to our company on day one and who can contribute to our long-term strategic goals • Strong attention to detail and superb organizational skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to be self-managed, yet also a team player • Schedule flexibility is a must, as occasional evenings and weekends will be required based on event needs
