- Minimum of three (3) years of hospitality industry experience including sales and/or operations - Financially competent ~ able to manage job costs, client budgets, invoicing, vendor billing, and negotiating - Strong networking skills and relationship building skills for both vendor and client relationships - Customer service mindset - Time management ~ ability to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve, and reach deadlines - Flexibility - Composure in stressful situations - Self-motivating , self-managing, ambitious, efficient, and proactive - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Acceptance of and ability to meet high expectations - Acceptance of non-traditional work schedule and demands - Desire to continue education through industry involvement - Ability to work as part of a small team - Open to constructive criticism and performance feedback - Excellent writing skills - Fluent in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Building relationships with both existing and potential clients - Proposal generation and writing, including creative theme ideas to reach the client’s goal - Managing and negotiating various vendors, including logistics and costs - Contract generation - Onsite operation and execution of client events - Maintaining personalized vendor and referral source relationships - Participation in marketing endeavors - Representation of company through industry involvement and events
