Promotes and facilitates the use of the Club’s banquet and meeting facilities by member’s club events and outside functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures timely and thorough response to inquiries, needs and requests to drive up outside events and sales revenues
Establishes standards of service, quality and performance for banquets, catered functions and meetings to drive up total F&B revenues
Establishes policies, systems and procedures for the efficient operation of the Catering Office to ensure better coordination on all club and outside events event
Establishes and meets annual and monthly budgets for the department.
Prepares three month forecasts of catering business each month.
Supervises F&B personnel to ensure proper set-up and service of banquet functions according to the Function BEO Sheets, ensuring quality control of room set-up, table settings and banquet room cleanliness. Ensures proper break-down and re-set of function space.
Develops and implements Marketing Plan for wedding business.
Assists in the supervision of the banquet wait staff with emphasis on high levels of service and friendliness.
Maintains established standards of service. Seeks constant feedback from clients concerning quality of food and service.
Resolves complaints in a prompt, professional and courteous manner, keeping the satisfaction of the client foremost in mind.
Ensures quality control of all work of the Catering Office and banquet and kitchen staff. Makes on-the-spot corrections, as necessary.
Establishes standards, policies and procedures for the department.
Greets clients and function attendees when appropriate.
Attends weekly staff meeting and weekly food and beverage meeting.
In conjunction with the Food & Beverage Department, plans and implements changes in banquet service and menus to meet the needs and desires of members and guests. Provides continuous feedback to the F&B team and management regarding guests’ perceptions and comments regarding food and service.
Ensures quality control in the set-up of banquet tables by monitoring banquet rooms for cleanliness and attractiveness of set up.
Recommends price changes for banquet food and beverage menus by working closely with the Chef and Bar Manager
Establishes and maintains effective communication with departmental staff, other departments and management.
Works together with Club department heads to develop a team-like approach to operations where a major emphasis is placed on problem discovery and solution. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge in the Jonas POS system is helpful.
