Iowa State University Dining is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Manager Food Service I position. This position assists the Catering Managers with all aspects of running the catering operations on campus. This position supervises set up, service, and tear down of catering production.
Responsibilities include staff scheduling; ordering food including bakery, dry goods, supplies, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; production, service, sanitation, housekeeping, and facilities maintenance. This position participates in, and assists with, management of full-time, part-time, and student personnel activities and needs. The Assistant Manager actively participates in departmental decisions regarding policies, procedures, and implementing new services. This person also assists with upkeep of posted catering orders, and monitoring for accuracy to ensure timely deliveries.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, as well as possess strong leadership skills.
